Maca Protein Smoothie | Recipe

I've been struggling with my appetite lately. A tummy issue I've been having for about two weeks has begun to affect how much I eat and when. Because it hurts most of the day, I find my appetite has been greatly reduced, and I can only muster to eat properly once in a day. Because I think the two may be somehow linked in a vicious cycle, I've decided to incorporate a liquid meal into my diet and see if that changes how I feel. I want to be able to get all my nutrients in a day, even if I can't eat a full meal, and one Green Juice a day is more than enough. So here is the protein Maca smoothie I am adding as a late lunch meal replacement, at least until I get to the bottom of my upset tummy problem. This is not a diet or a long term solution, however, would be extra beneficial for those who workout. The Maca in the smoothie is great for your skin and liver, and the Vanilla and Mixed Spice adds a warmth to the flavour, even though the smoothie is cold.

Let me know if you try this smoothie at home, and what you think! Also, if anyone suffers from IBS, I would love to know how you were diagnosed and what your systems were. This is a really open space for sharing, no judgement or squimishness here, so please feel free to be honest and open with your stories! Talking about our health, especially as women, only serves to better equip us all to seek help when we need it and don't realise. I hope you enjoy!

With Love,

Kenny
