Beauty Bowl

I'm trying this new thing where I have bigger breakfasts and smaller meals after that. I went a full week fully raw last week and felt really really great while doing it. The weather has been warming up lately here in New York, Spring is definitely springing, and that makes it much easier to eat raw foods. Coupled with the fact that I'm finishing my thesis right now which means I havent had to time to really cook complex meals, it's been a very convenient way of life. I turned my fridge into to a ready to eat salad bar by chopping up a bunch of different ingredients and storing them in little tubs. Grab and go makes my life waaaay simpler, and I can experiement with my food without having to to do much work. Salads have been top of the list for lunches and dinners, but smoothie bowls have been the star of breakfast. You just whip up a smoothie in the NutriBullet like you normally would (the small cup), pour that bad boy into a bowl, and top it with all the delicious things your little heart desires. Because I'm all about aesthetic (lol), I ususally colour coordinate my toppings, going with contrasting colours or same shade seeds. Not only does that look super cute, but it also ensures I get a variety of nutrients in at every meal. The colours of fruit and veggies indicate the vitamins and nutrients inside it, so a wide diversity of colours, means a wide diversity of goodies for your cells. This smoothie bowl is packed full of beautifying nutrients that are great for your hair and skin, detoxifying your pores, and boosting the production of regenerating cells in your body...and it's mad cute. Since I don't get to leave the house much lately while I'm thesising, these bowls are the outfits I don't get to wear, and like any fashionista worth her salt knows, accessories (or berries) are key!

Enjoy! x
